How this faculty grows
Faculty leaders recruit the next faculty leaders.
Every course director on the 2027 calendar chose the people teaching beside them. That is the whole mechanism — not a speaker bureau, not an open call, but senior physicians bringing forward the colleagues and former fellows they trust with their own material.
It is also why the programs outlast the people who start them.
Three examples, not slogans
What that looks like in practice.
A thirty-year handover
Dr. Michael N. Linver founded Mammography in Santa Fe in 1996 and directed it for thirty consecutive years. In 2027 Dr. Christopher Comstock takes the directorship, with Dr. Linver continuing as co-director. The course carries on; so does its founder.
One fellowship, four faculty
Every member of the NeuroENT faculty trained through the University of Utah neuroradiology fellowship that Dr. Richard H. Wiggins III directs. All three now hold consultant or section chief posts of their own, at Mayo Clinic Arizona and City of Hope.
A trauma service, together
The Emergency Department Radiology faculty come from the same emergency and trauma division at the University of Miami / Jackson and Ryder Trauma Center — two course directors and two senior advisors who read this work side by side.
